Grow W/ google Project:
Who is this for?
As a frequent disc golf player, I realized that there aren’t any disc golf apps that allow you to browse, buy, and sell disc golf equipment. With my knowledge in disc golf, I wanted to create an app that did just that. I want to give disc golf players an exceptional disc marketplace app to bring more ease and accessibility to disc shopping and selling.
What should i build?
With the influence of apps such as Instagram and TikTok, infinite scroll (wrapping) is something a lot of people from my user research interviews requested for a mobile app.
The next most popular request was for a query search bar to go hand in hand with the infinite database of products.
Lastly, almost everyone mentioned they prefer dark mode above everything else.
Why should this be built?
After a competitive analysis, most places to purchase disc golf equipment is from a website that is cluttered and difficult to navigate on mobile devices.
There are responsive sites, however these are tailored for one company selling specific products that they carry. My goal is to make a database that informs, as well as creates a one-stop shop hub for customers.
Where?
Outside! On the course. I’ve taken to a mobile first philosophy, creating responsiveness to larger screens from there.
